SHANE BYLER

Shane Byler was named the LCCS head baseball coach in 2012. He oversees the entire program, and works primarily with the infielders and hitters.

 

Byler is a 2009 graduate of Lake Center Christian, where he earned twelve letters in golf, basketball and baseball. He earned Co-MVP honors and was named as a 1st Team All-Ohio infielder for the 2009 Regional Runner-Up Lake Center baseball team. After high school, he went on to play baseball at Malone University for three seasons.

Since becoming the head coach for the Tigers, Coach Byler has amassed a 102-81 record, and has helped guide the Tigers to two District Championship appearances in 2016 and 2019.

JON PAGE

Jon Page started coaching for the LCCS Tigers in 2018. He helps oversee all aspects of the varsity team and assists the position coaches in their  responsibilities. Page graduated from Akron Springfield High School, where he was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball and baseball. Over the course of his coaching career, Page has led more than 25 youth teams and has amassed numerous league and tournament championships.

Page also coaches many LCCS Tigers for the Ohio Titans -- an off-season baseball league. His teams have won a league championship the past four years.

DOUG "FROBE" BYLER

Doug Byler started coaching for the Tigers' Baseball Program in 2007, primarily as the pitching coach. 

Following his high school career at Kidron Central Christian, Byler went on to pitch at the University of Akron for one year. He then finished the remainder of his college career at Eastern Mennonite University, where he was a 1998 inductee in the Athletic Hall of Fame.

Coach Byler has been influential in helping to guide the LCCS Tigers to three District Championship appearances, as well as one Regional Championship appearance in 2009, where the Tigers climbed all the way to #2 in the OHSBCA Coaches Poll.

DAN RAINES

Dan Raines started coaching for the LCCS Tigers in 2011, primarily as the outfield coach. He graduated from Oak Glen High School in West Virginia, where he earned All-State honors as an outfielder. His outfield experience and expertise as a player and coach is incredibly valuable to the LCCS Tigers. 

Raines also has two sons, Dan (2013) and Isaiah (2016), who played for the LCCS Tigers. Raines has committed himself to the growth of the Tiger Baseball Program, and he's excited to continue taking steps forward.

JOHN FETHER

Coach Fether enters his 3rd year on the high school staff with the Tigers and 4th overall in the Program. He works primarily with the catchers and also assists in a variety of ways throughout the program. Coach Fether was a standout catcher at Perry High School and continued his playing career at the collegiate-level at Erskine College in North Carolina. He continued playing in the Canton Class A League for years after college and was Stark County Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame inductee in 2015.

Coach Fether also serves as the head coach of Summer Tigers (Gold) in the LCCS Youth Baseball Program and has four sons that play baseball for the Tigers.
